Spica Technology ApS is a Danish technology company with many years of experience in solutions for the wind industry. The company works with advanced technology that optimizes operation and extends the service life of wind turbines, thereby playing an active role in the green transition. By preparing its first ESG report in collaboration with ESG365, Spica Technology has taken an important step towards more structured, transparent, and strategic sustainability reporting.
For Spica Technology, ESG is not just about compliance, but about creating a solid basis for decision-making for the future. The ESG report has given the company an overview of data, risks, and opportunities, while also strengthening the internal anchoring of sustainability across the organization. The work was supported by a dedicated ESG manager and the company’s Advisory Board, which ensured that ESG efforts were integrated into both operations and strategy.
Social sustainability & Governance
Social sustainability is a key focus area for Spica Technology. In 2024, the company had 23 employees and a high retention rate of 87%, reflecting a stable and secure working environment. There is a focus on well-being, safety, and diversity, and the company had no work-related accidents in the reporting year. Spica Technology is also involved in the local community through support for charitable causes and social activities.
In terms of governance, Spica Technology works with clear guidelines for responsible management, including anti-corruption, data security, and risk management. The company is a member of the UN Global Compact and is thus committed to internationally recognized principles for human rights, labor rights, the environment, and anti-corruption.
Promoting Sustainability & Collaboration with ESG365
Spica Technology actively works to promote sustainability within the wind energy sector, with a particular focus on environmental impact, social conditions, and good governance. The company has previously prepared ESG reports, but wanted to use ESG365 to create a comprehensive overview of key figures and existing sustainability initiatives.
In collaboration with ESG365, Spica Technology has thus prepared a VSME-Basic report that shows how the company strives to strengthen transparency, reduce its environmental footprint, and ensure responsible development that benefits employees, partners, and the green transition.
The ESG report now serves as a strategic tool for Spica Technology and forms the basis for future initiatives. The collaboration with ESG365 has made it possible to translate sustainability into concrete value – both internally within the organization and externally towards customers, partners, and financial stakeholders.
